The 3-8 Atlanta Falcons and the 10-1 Georgia Bulldogs may have different records through 11 games in 2019, but they are far too similar than anyone will want to admit.

In back to back years (Atlanta Falcons – 2016, Georgia – 2017), we have seen this state compete on the highest levels. However, don’t let those two seasons take your eyes away from the glaring issues that plague these two great teams.

The state of Georgia has been plagued with mediocrity this past decade. It’s time we accept that this state will not see a championship with the way things currently sit.

From blown leads and bad coaching decisions to fans left wondering what just happened, these two premier teams of Georgia are near identical to one another. They even share the same team colors.

For the state of Georgia to finally receive that elusive title to Band-Aid the scars of our past, both teams need to switch their foremost identity and become more consistent on their respective lacking units.

Both teams enter the season with promise and both team’s seasons usually end in questions that are always left unanswered. The talent level that both programs/franchise boast is second to none, and yet somehow year after year the fan bases are left wondering where everything went wrong.

Unlike the Falcons, the Bulldogs have a chance to right many wrongs in 2019, but we have seen this before and been left standing in the cold.
