With the Atlanta Falcons missing out on the NFL playoffs for the third time in five years under Dan Quinn, we will need to find our football fix elsewhere over the next few weeks.

The Atlanta Falcons are currently slotted to draft 13th overall and will have plenty of talented and instant impact players available to choose from. With the college football bowl season about to kick it into high gear now that Christmas is over, here is a guide of what games to watch as the Falcons will have their eyes on these games as well.

In the 2020 draft, the Atlanta Falcons are going to be able to draft the best available player as they have needs for all over the field – OL, DL, LB, CB, RB, and the following list will be the best available around the Falcons draft slot.

San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl
USC vs. Iowa

  • December 27th, 8:00 pm

A.J. Espenesa, Iowa, Edge – 6’6 290 pounds

What the experts are saying:

"Ideal frame for a defensive end. Plays with power from a three and four-point stance. Has incredibly strong hands and can get off blocks with ease. Does not give up ground when setting the edge. Nearly impossible to stop in one-on-one situations. Has intriguingly good bend and flexibility for a player of his size and power. Has flashed shoulder dip moves on tape with success, though not often."

With the Atlanta Falcons more than likely moving on from Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley looking more and more like a bust, the Falcons are going to need to rush the passer and A.J. Espenesa will be among the best in the draft and should still be on the board when the Falcons pick.
