When looking at career numbers and season Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has had a similar career to former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has had multiple winning seasons and always put up big numbers like John Elway; Elway was 37 when he won his first Super Bowl. Luckily for the Atlanta Falcons, Matt Ryan is 34 years old and should have about 4-5 good seasons left before he declines. Many fans think 34 is old but Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady have had great seasons when they were older than 37.
Many fans want to see the Atlanta Falcons win the Super Bowl with Matt Ryan as the quarterback. In order to do that they should look at the Denver Broncos and John Elway. A large part of the Denver Broncos deep postseason runs was because of the running back Terrell Davis.
The Atlanta Falcons need to find their own Terrell Davis in the 2020 NFL Draft to give themselves a shot at winning a Super Bowl before Matt Ryan retires. Elway was always good but did not win the Super Bowl until his last two seasons in 1997 and 1998. Elway could not win one until Terrell Davis got there.
If there is any indication about the difference a running back can make look at the Tennessee Titans and Derrick Henry. Henry beat Terrell Davis’ rushing record through the first four playoff games of a player’s career. Who can be the next Terrell Davis for the Atlanta Falcons?
Luckily for the Atlanta Falcons, 2020 running back class for the NFL Draft is loaded with talent. Some of the names include Travis Etienne from Clemson, Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin, D’andre Swift from Georgia, Clyde Edwards-Helaire from LSU, Cam Akers from Florida State, JK Dobbins from Ohio State, and many other talented backs.
Whoever the Falcons end up selecting will need to be a huge factor for the Falcons in the postseason. The only way the Atlanta Falcons will get there is with a vastly improved offensive line and defense. Hopefully, the Atlanta Falcons will be able to win the Super Bowl with Matt Ryan before he retires.
