The Atlanta Falcons have three trap games scattered throughout the season that the coaches and players have to prepare for as they would any other game on the schedule. The NFL especially has a knack for setting up trap games, and more often than not, these games end up playing a big part in playoff seeding or squandering playoff chances.

Look no further than the 2016 season when the Atlanta Falcons lost to the 5-11 San Diego Chargers. The team had lost a hard-fought and controversial game against the Seattle Seahawks and had the Green Bay Packers coming up in two weeks. The Chargers were not a good team and ended up beating the eventual NFC Champions in Atlanta, the very same team that gave the Cleveland Browns their one win during that season.
