The Atlanta Falcons have built up depth that will come in handy near the trade deadline.

While we are still a week and a half away from the Atlanta Falcons kicking off against Seattle, it is not too early to start looking at the depth of this team to see who they have as a potential trade deadline trading bait.

The move made by Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff as well as the high-level development of other young players has given the franchise several options to trade come to the deadline for either future draft picks or players that aid in the playoff run that the Falcons will undoubtedly make in 2020.

There is a position group that you don’t mess with – the offensive line.

Six-time Pro Bowl center Alex Mack is in the last year of his five years $45 million contract he signed with the Falcons back in 2016. There are some that would like to see the franchise move him but he anchors the offensive line and if the Falcons are indeed as successful as we predict, then you don’t want to mess with the chemistry the guys upfront will have.

There isn’t enough depth up front to attempt to trade anyone at this point. Sure maybe a young guy likes Matt Gono or veteran James Carpenter, but neither of them is going to bring much of anything.
