The Atlanta Falcons are about to kick off the easiest part of their schedule.

Every Atlanta Falcons fan knew this schedule was going to be daunting, but no one envisioned an 0-4 start. The most frustrating aspect of this horrific start is that the Falcons have been the most talented team on the field each of the first four weeks.

However, this team lacks the ability to execute the small things during a game – jump on a ball, communicate basic coverages, block the guy in the front of you or catch a perfectly thrown ball. All of those are why this team is where they are.

Fools gold part of the Atlanta Falcons schedule.

The next five games are considerably easier than the first four games. There is simply no reason for this team not to rattle off five straight wins and while that may be good enough for Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, those five wins are meaningless in terms of where the Falcons are as a franchise.

The current rumor is that Blank will not make a change until the Falcons are officially eliminated from playoff contention, but what would make the playoffs actually prove at this point?

Too many losing streaks, too many Homer Simpson moments, and too much frustration will not be cured by a loaded team making the playoffs with a terrible 8-8 or 9-7 record.

Six weeks from now, people within the organization will be feeling really good riding a five-game winning streak and will hope that fans everywhere will have forgotten about the two blown fourth-quarter leads in September and will what you to focus on the wins over five teams that currently have a combined 7-13 record.

Next. Dear Arthur Blank, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!. dark

With two games against the Panthers, Vikings, Detroit, and Denver on tap before the bye-week, there is no reason for the Falcons not to win five straight games. Losing any of them should be the cherry on top of Dan Quinn’s terrible six-year experiment as the Atlanta Falcons head coach.
