NFL great thinks Julio Jones is the best to ever play
Julio Jones continues to prove himself to be among the greatest of all-time.
Last season before the Cardinals and Falcons kicked off, NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald told his rookie quarterback Kyler Murray that Julio Jones was going to put on a show. Matter of fact, Fitzgerald told Murray that Jones was the “best he had ever seen”.
Let that sink in. A first-ballot NFL Hall of Famer said Julio Jones was the best he had ever seen – including himself.
However, people seem to forget or they simply take for granted the greatness that is Julio and what he has done throughout his career, despite the ridiculousness that has been the front office and coaching staff during his career.
So far in 2020, only Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins have recorded three games with at least 130 yards or more receiving. Sure, guys like Davante Adams in Green Bay and the Seahawks Tyler Lockett have had individual games with more than 175 yards this season, but neither has been consistent.

Despite being slowed down by injuries, Julio is averaging 97 yards per game and more than 15 yards per catch.
Julio Jones is chasing history.
Part of being in the greatest of all-time conversation is longevity. While Julio has missed two games already this season, he has missed just four others since the start of the 2014 NFL season.
Currently, Larry Fitzgerald and Jerry Rice are the only two players in NFL history to record at least 1,400 receptions in their careers. Larry accomplished this in the middle of year 17 and Jerry Rice did the same in the middle of his 18th season.
Julio Jones is currently on pace to record his 1,400th reception in the middle of his 14th season and remember, the total number of games he has missed since he was drafted in 2011, is equal to more than a full NFL season.
If Julio can stay just healthy enough and the Falcons bring in some better offensive lineman to keep Matt Ryan upright and give him time to throw, Julio will go down as the all-time greatest receiver to ever play the game.
Better than Jerry, better than Randy, and better than Larry.
