The Atlanta Falcons playmakers finally make an appearance in 2020.

There is little to no doubt that the Atlanta Falcons have one of the most potent offenses in the National Football League and for the first time, we saw their two biggest names each get into the endzone.

When the Falcons brought in running back Todd Gurley on a one-year $5 million deal, there was an unsure expectation of what the franchise was getting – would they get MVP candidate Todd Gurley or would they get 2019 banged-up Todd Gurley?

What they have gotten was a running back that has scored a rushing touchdown in seven of the nine games and had made a bigger impact that most had hoped for. While he is not an MVP candidate, he has been a great addition to the offense here in Atlanta.

Julio Jones has continued to be the best receiver in the game despite not being the focal point of the Atlanta Falcons offense. I am sure some will argue and then talk about him being a decoy but one thing we know about NFL offensive coordinators is that when getting a specific player involved is important to them, they do it.

Julio Jones touchdown woes continue with the Atlanta Falcons.

While Todd Gurley had eight rushing touchdowns coming into the week nine game against Denver, Julio had just two receiving touchdowns and both of them came in the Atlanta Falcons first win of the season against Minnesota.

Sunday at home against Denver, both Julio Jones and Todd Gurley scored a touchdown in a game for the first time as Atlanta Falcons.

While Falcons fans had hoped to see a lot of this in 2020, it took until week nine to do it.

At 3-6, the Atlanta Falcons would love a redo at the 2020 season as they seem to be playing much better football on both sides of the field over the last four weeks. They are 3-1 since Dan Quinn was fired and Raheem Morris was made the interim head coach.
