Raiders offense will present quite the challenge for the Atlanta Falcons.

Coming into the 2020 Atlanta Falcons season, most of us had this game versus the Las Vegas Raiders pegged as a win. Granted, most of us also didn’t foresee the Falcons being 3-7 entering this game either.

Fast-forward three months into the season and Derek Carr are playing the best football of his career but the Raiders also have an above-average offense.

The Raiders have four very good targets for Carr – Darren Waller, Nelson Agholor, Hunter Renfrow, and Henry Ruggs III and a run game featuring Josh Jacobs that is also much better than anticipated. Offensive coordinator Greg Olson does a pretty good job of putting his playmakers in a position to make plays – very different than what we have here in Atlanta.

This will also be a homecoming for tight end Darren Waller.

Waller is a North Cobb High School graduate and played collegiately at Georgia Tech. Linebackers Deion Jones and Foye Oluokun will be a fun one to watch this week.

The Atlanta Falcons defense did a great job last week against Taysom Hill and the Saints offense, especially running back Alvin Kamara.

Kamara leads the Saints in both rushing and receiving and is averaging more than 100 combined yards per game. Jones and Oluokun held him to just 43 total yards in last week’s loss.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback finally looks like the guy that the Raiders pledged more than $100 million to just a few years ago. He comes into the week’s matchup with the Atlanta Falcons having thrown 19 touchdowns to just three interceptions.

The one player that the Atlanta Falcons defense cannot lose track of this week will be slot receiver, Hunter Renfrow. If you followed his career in college, you know he runs elite routes and has a way to get open that many NFL receivers don’t. Renfrow has turned into a safety blanket for Derek Carr like he was Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence in college.

At this point, most of us are hoping for a higher draft pick than in recent years and unfortunately, that means hoping for another Atlanta Falcons loss.

Next. Matt Ryan streak is on the line Sunday versus Raiders. dark
