Three reasons Matt Ryan is the best choice at QB for the near future of the Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have some major decisions to make as the 2020 season comes to a close and we begin to make preparations for the offseason.

The Falcons will hire a new GM and Head Coach at some point in the early portion of the offseason and they will have to make several key decisions on free agents and draft picks.

Though many Atlanta Falcons fans are ready for the franchise to move on from QB Matt Ryan, the truth is that he is the best choice at the position for the near future.

3. His contract is too expensive to give up on

Let’s go ahead and get the most obvious reason out of the way first. Ryan’s contract is no joke and he’s only in year three of a five-year deal and though there is an out along the way, you’re still talking about a contract that was signed for a guaranteed $100 million.

You don’t sign a player for that amount of cash and just give up on them at the drop of a hat.

It’d be one thing if Ryan was going out and losing games on his own, but he has still been able to make plays and the Falcons are too financially invested in him just to give up.
