Earl Megget – The Longest Yard (remake)

In today’s NFL, Earl Megget would be among the fastest players in the league overall. He would more than likely challenge Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill as the fastest man.

If you saw The Longest Yard, then you remember how life-changing real cleats were for Megget, imagine how fast and devastating he would be on sprint turf with real NFL coaching and blocking.

He would arguably be what MVP candidate Todd Gurley was just a couple years, a devastating runner and huge asset out of the backfield in the passing league. Not only would Megget help the offense in an area that they clearly struggle with, but he would be a huge help to the developing linebackers on the Falcons roster.

Deion Jones is already among the league’s best cover linebackers but Megget would be a great benefit to Foye Oluokun and rookie Mykal Walker.

While Megget did get hurt in The Longest Yard, by today’s medicine standards he would be fine in a couple weeks and recover without any long-term effects. Unfortunately, that is something that Todd Gurley cannot claim.
