New Orleans Saints implode at home in the playoffs once again.

Atlanta Falcons fans heard it all year long from New Orleans Saints fans – they were going to win another Super Bowl, while the Falcons were going to replace their entire front office. You got to give it to the Saints, they looked good the entire season.

However, they did what Saints do best – crap the bed at home when things got real. Save your “at least we made the playoffs” nonsense – no one cares that the Saints played just 120 more minutes than the Falcons in 2020.

Sure, being in the playoffs would have been better than going 4-12 but at this point, the Saints have no direction on their future with Drew Brees retiring and there is no way they are going to turn their offense over to Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill.

Brees has been everything to their offense and while Hill was fine during the games that Brees missed, but you aren’t going to be elite with a “quarterback” that threw just four touchdowns this season.

No more Michael Thomas is elite talk.

Stop this. Once again, on the biggest stage, Saints’ social media smack-talking wide receiver Michael Thomas was nowhere to be found with this team’s season on the line.

Julio Jones would never.

In his last three playoff games, he has 12 catches for 143 and one touchdown, including his 0 catches 0 yards, 0 touchdowns, and one drop performance Sunday against the Bucs. Julio Jones surpassed all of those stats in his last two playoff appearances in 2017.

Playoff career-wise, Thomas has played in just one fewer playoff game than Julio Jones. However, Julio has almost 300 more yards, more touchdowns, and averages more than 10 yards per game more than Thomas.

People love to debate like these two are somehow equal or Thomas has overtaken Julio on the field because he had a ton of catches in 2019 but when the games truly matter, Thomas is nowhere to be found and that will never change.

Congrats Saints on making the 2020 playoffs! During a time when things are changing faster than we can keep up with, at least you all are keeping your home playoff losing streak intact providing us with some sense of normalcy.

Next. Falcons fans should be excited about Arthur Smith. dark
