The Atlanta Falcons hold the fourth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

With changes to both the Atlanta Falcons front office, scouting, and coaching, we are left to wonder what direction the franchise will go.

There will be plenty of speculation on the philosophy of new general manager Terry Fontenot and head coach Arthur Smith over the next couple of months.

The NFL Draft is a little over two months away. Currently, items that stand in the way include the Senior Bowl (already completed), the NFL Combine (which is being conducted in a different matter), and respective college pro days (where combine workouts will take place).

With the Atlanta Falcons currently holding the fourth overall selection this year, many are projecting one of the top quarterback prospects to eventually replace Matt Ryan.

While the team should consider this option, Ryan still has plenty left in the tank.

Furthermore, according to Overthecap, the Atlanta Falcons are currently projected to be $36 million over the projected total, so free agency is a tough sell.

Therefore, it only makes sense to try and bolster the current roster with other positions of need.

A recent article by fellow BD contributor Shawn Spencer detailed eight current players Atlanta is taking a sharp look at.

All eight of them would do well in this new regime the team has organized. That said, here are the three that, whenever their pick is, Atlanta must do whatever it takes to bring them into the red and black.

Current Positional Needs: RB, S, OL, DL, CB, QB
