Rounds 3-5

  • Round 3, Pick No. 68: Carlos Basham Jr., EDGE (Wake Forest)

Basham Jr. is one of the top edge-rushers in this draft class and, just like Etienne, I’m surprised he fell to me here in the Mock Draft simulator. Basham Jr. was the lone playmaker for Wake Forest and needs to be looked at extremely close by the Falcons because he’s a guy that, in my opinion, could be a Day 1 starter- though I’m beginning to think you might have to draft him in Round 2 before it’s all said and done.

  • Round 4, Pick No. 108: Andre Cisco, S (Syracuse)

Andre Cisco has the talent and athleticism to be a big-time playmaker at the next level. We’re getting a little ACC heavy here in picks, but this another guy that really has high potential as a former All-American in college.

  • Round 5, Pick No. 147: Deommodore Lenoir, CB (Oregon)

The Falcons could use another starter at cornerback, but they at least need depth. We’re not particularly happy with how we’ve addressed the secondary in this one, but this is a draft without as deep of a field of defensive backs. Still, Demmondore Lenoir has shown promise and could develop into a starter.

  • Round 5, Pick No. 181:  Ventrell Miller, LB (Florida)

Ventrell Miller is a decent linebacker who has shown solid athleticism and physicality. Not a bad pick in the late fifth-round.
