1. A dominant pass-rush leads to success

We’ve taken a look at decisions the Bucs made as a franchise, but what about the in-game successes?

Do you know why the Bucs were able to hold a traditionally explosive Chiefs offense to just nine points? It all started with that dominant pass-rush.

Ndamukong Suh, Shaq Barrett, Lavonte David, Devin White, Jason Pierre-Paul. Those are guys that formed one of the best front-sevens in the league and that can’t be argued. They got after Patrick Mahomes and that, in turn, made things easier on the Tampa Bay secondary.

If you want to have success defensively in today’s NFL, you’ve got to be able to create negative-yardage plays. That starts with a dominant pass-rush.

If the Atlanta Falcons want to solidify their defense, they can learn from the Buccaneers and realize that it all starts up-front.
