Richard Sherman – Corner

Richard Sherman has played football on the West Coast his entire life.

He was born and raised in Compton, went to college at Stanford, spent the majority of his career in Seattle, and then spent the last couple of seasons back in San Francisco.

Some are going to shake their head at this, but given the youth of this Atlanta Falcons secondary, why not attempt to lure an aging veteran like Sherman to Atlanta where he can be both a great mentor off the field as well as effective on the field?

Richard Sherman is one of those players that you either love or hate. You either agree with what he says or you laugh at him for him ridiculous.

We all know Sherman thinks of himself as one of the league’s best corners, even at almost 33, but he plays with the type of swag missing from the entire Atlanta Falcons defense. He is on his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and why not bring a West Coast kid back East and allow him to empty his tank on a team that could learn a lot from a guy who has accomplished all that he has?

The market for Sherman is going to be smaller than he thinks and that is where the Falcons and their tight budget can swoop in and land a guy that can add a lot to the defense that Dean Pees wants to run.

Seems like a win-win for both parties.
