A look at the picks that the Atlanta Falcons possess in the 2021 NFL Draft

The Atlanta Falcons have a major decision to make with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft just a couple of months from now, but that’s not the only time they’ll be on the clock.

If you want a complete rundown of when the Falcons will be picking and where those selections will be located, you’ve come to the right place.

Here’s a look at where the Atlanta Falcons will be picking in the 2021 NFL Draft:

  • Round 1 (No. 4 overall)
  • Round 2 (No. 35 overall)
  • Round 3 (No. 68 overall)
  • Round 4 (No. 99 overall)
  • Round 5 (No. 132 overall)
  • Round 6 (No. 163 overall)

The Atlanta Falcons are in prime position, especially with their first three selections

The Falcons have a chance to select three players inside the top-70 picks in the draft. That’s a major asset for a team that absolutely needs to build and find talent to replenish and solidify this roster.

Having a pick inside the top-5 doesn’t just give the Falcons a chance to draft a top-5 overall talent, it also gives them a chance to market the pick and see what they can get out of it. Could a team be willing to part ways with a star or a load of draft picks to trade up to that spot?

In a quarterback-driven draft, we definitely could see the Falcons leverage that spot to attain more draft capital if they chose to go that route. They also could simply stay at No. 4 and select the player of their choice, which could be anything from a future QB to a starting offensive lineman to a defensive piece.

It will be interesting to see what the Falcons are able to do with those six draft picks, but the most important selections will come in the first three rounds when legitimate starting talent is available each year. It all comes down to making the right evaluations.
