Five popular players who you may have forgotten were even with the Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have a storied history with some all-time greats to walk through the doors, but that doesn’t  mean that every player who has played in Atlanta was memorable.

As a matter of fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Over the course of the Falcons’ existence, there have been numerous Pro Bowlers and All-Pro players join the roster, many of which, you’ve probably forgotten about.

Today, let’s take a look at five popular Falcons who were only in town a year or less.

5. Joe Horn

Joe Horn had quite the run in the early 2000s with both the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints.

As a wide receiver, Horn made the Pro Bowl four times in a seven-year run with the Saints and, in each of those four seasons, he had more than 1,200 yards receiving.

Because of his success with the Falcons’ NFC South rival, fans knew exactly who he was when he signed a 4-year deal worth $15 million with Atlanta in 2007.

Unfortunately, those Pro Bowl days were far behind him at that point and that shouldn’t have been difficult to realize considering he was already 35 years old.

Horn played in 12 games and caught just 27 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown during that season with the Atlanta Falcons. He was released and then retired following that 2007 season.
