James Conner was a Pro-Bowler back in 2018, but things can change quite a bit within a two-year period.
Since that 2018 season where he rushed for 973 yards and 12 touchdowns, Conner has had just 1,185 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns in the last two years combined.
Still, could it be much of the same that we spoke of with Wayne Gallman? Could Conner need a fresh start and would Arthur Smith be able to give him exactly what he needs to reach another level?
Keep in mind that Conner is just now turning 26 years old and there is still some life left in him. He might come at an asking price that is too high for the Falcons, but there’s nothing wrong with picking up the phone and visiting with the running back to see what might could happen.
