Offensive Tackles

  • RT: Kaleb McGary
  • LT: Jake Matthews
  • OT3: Dennis Kelly (Free Agent)
  • OT4: James Hurst (Free Agent)

Jake Matthews continues to play at a high level and is a big asset to the offense. He plays one of the most important positions in the NFL and plays it exceptionally well. There is no doubt he will be on the roster as a starter.

Kaleb McGary vastly improved from his disappointing rookie season. He still needs to improve on blocking speed rushers, he has struggled with that in his two seasons as an Atlanta Falcons. He should continue to get better and continue being the starter on the right side.

Dennis Kelly is a guy that Arthur Smith knows well from the Titans. He is a massive man and would know this scheme already. James Hurst might be a guy that Terry Fontenot may look at from his time with the Saints, again he would strictly be a backup barring injury.

Guards

  • RG: Chris Lindstrom
  • LG: Kendrick Green (Draft, Illinois)
  • OG3: Josh Andrews

Look out for Chris Lindstrom to have a pro bowl type year.

He certainly has shown the flashes but needs to string it together through the whole season. He is an up-and-coming player in the league. He was the Atlanta Falcons best interior lineman from the 2020 season, which will probably continue into 2021

Kendrick Green, out of Illinois, is someone who the Atlanta Falcons would welcome. He is a quick guard who played both the guard and center positions. Atlanta needs to add a left guard at some point during the season, that will most likely happen during the draft. Green will be selected around the third round.

Josh Andrews, who the Falcons recently signed, will serve as the backup to Linstrom and Green. He is an experienced player, with many starts under his belt. I would bet on him making the final roster.

Center

  • C1: Matt Hennessy
  • C2: Joe Looney (Free Agent)

Matt Hennessy disappointed for the most part when he played during his rookie season, however, the Falcons selected him for a reason.

He will probably end up as the starter and the heir apparent to the great, Alex Mack. He should improve with more experience in 2021.

Joe Looney is picked up in free agency to fill out the backup center position. Again, another guy with a lot of experience. He would be a great presence for Hennessy. Kendrick Green could also be a backup center since he has experience with it in college.
