January 8, 2022, vs New Orleans Saints

Originally scheduled for 1:00 pm

The Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints are among the three greatest rivalries in the National Football League and there is no room for debate within that statement.

Franchises, fan bases, and cities cannot stand each other and that is never going to change.

This is the last game of the season for both teams and very well could decide the NFC South as well as the NFC playoff seeding. Sure, everyone seems sure that the Bucs led by Tom Brady will be the team to beat but both of these teams are going to have something to say about that.

Even with Drew Brees retiring, the Saints still have head coach Sean Payton, who will have had almost a full year to change his offense to fit whoever the next field general will be and there aren’t many in the business better than Payton.

The two will face off in early November and should that game be close there will be a lot of interest in this game. If both teams are vying for the postseason, NBC would be insane not to put this game on primetime the last week of the season.

Two big issues with the 2021 Atlanta Falcons schedule. dark. Next
