Atlanta Falcons: The quarterback of the future will arrive next season

The Atlanta Falcons decided not to select a quarterback in this year’s draft. Don’t worry Falcons fans, you’ll get the quarterback you so desperately desire in next year’s draft.

The Atlanta Falcons did sign a quarterback after the draft, Feleipe Franks. Franks has the athleticism you would like for a quarterback to have and he played for two SEC schools, which fans seem to love as well – though he wasn’t good at Florida or Arkansas.

No, there won’t be a Trevor Lawrence in next year’s draft, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t talent available in next year’s draft at that position. The quarterback class for 2022 is somewhat deep and full of talent.

You want a quarterback that’s athletic and can make plays out of the pocket, well look at guys like Spencer Rattler, Jaylen Daniels, and Desmond Riddler. If having a pocket presence is more your thing, you have guys like JT Daniels, Sam Howell, and Kedon Slovis. Those are just a few of the quarterbacks that will be coming out in 2022.

Other guys like Tyler Shough, Malik Willis, Carson Strong, and Matt Corral could be targets as well.

Most of these guys will need some development once they get to the next level and that’s fine. If there’s one thing Arthur Smith will be good at, it’s putting the right kind of system in place so his quarterback back can be successful. In Tennessee, he turns Ryan Tannehill into a legit MVP type of quarterback after he underperformed in Miami.

Depending on what type of season the Atlanta Falcons have, that will determine where they place on next year’s draft. No matter where they end up, there should be a solid quarterback available even if they have to make their choice in round two instead of round one.
