4) Drafting Takkarist McKinley over T.J. Watt in the 2017 draft

If there was one good thing that came from this selection, it definitely was watching Takk McKinley’s draft-day speech. It was iconic.

What was not iconic was his career with the Atlanta Falcons, unfortunately.

The Falcons traded up five spots to draft McKinley, and guess who went four spots after McKinley? T.J. Watt, one of the best, if not the best, pass rushers in the entire NFL.

The Pittsburgh Steelers certainly got lucky as the Falcons took McKinley, while the Cowboys took Taco Charlton right after.

T.J. Watt totaled 15 sacks last season, compared to Takk’s 17.5 in his entire career. Not to mention, Watt has continually put up better numbers every season.

This one will be haunting forever.
