1) Not overriding Kyle Shanahan’s decisions at the end of the super bowl

This one hurts the most, no question about it.

The Atlanta Falcons were as close as you could ever be to winning a super bowl, but not getting it done.

The one place where the team could have iced the game was when they were in field goal range with few minutes remaining. They should have run the ball, there is zero debate about that.

Instead, Shanahan decided to take the risk of throwing it, where you could either have a holding penalty or a sack compared to maybe a couple yard loss if you tell your offensive lineman to not hold no matter what. And passing the ball is what they did, and that is what gave the Patriots their final chance.

Someone should have overruled Shanahan’s awful decision, if they did, in all likelihood the Atlanta Falcons would have a super bowl victory. Instead, the team is the basis of every joke.

Yes, Kyle Shanahan has a lot to do with why the team made the super bowl, but he is also the reason they lost it. The defense was gassed, all Shanahan needs to do is run the ball rather than being way too aggressive for no reason. It is a lesson that you can be too aggressive in certain situations.

It is and was the biggest nightmare you could ever imagine. How things could have been different with a change in one decision.
