Atlanta Falcons: Dan Quinn’s 10 best draft picks
5) A.J. Terrell – 2020
Round 1, Pick 16
The Atlanta Falcons had little choice but to select a corner in the first round of this draft. Early signs show that they made the correct pick.
Terrell was the best rookie corner in the NFL in 2020. Looking at all the factors, Terrell worked with little pass rush upfront, and next to no help with the other corners.
It was telling to hear the Falcons coaches say that Terrell was the only corner they could truly trust in man-to-man coverage. That is saying a lot for a rookie who was thrown into the fire like he was.
Terrell in a couple years could no doubt be one of the few true lockdown corners in the entire NFL.
His skill set is special and was a perfect selection for one of Dan Quinn’s last as the Falcons head coach
4) Chris Lindstrom – 2019
Round 1, Pick 14
Picking who was four on this list was a toss-up between the aforementioned A.J. Terrell or Chris Lindstrom. Ultimately Lindstrom was the pick because he has played a few more games than Terrell has for the Falcons, and has been a little more consistent.
Lindstrom will be one of the most relied-on players for the Falcons in the upcoming season. He will need to go out there and have his best year yet.
He seriously could be one of the top offensive linemen in the league by the time the season is finished. He could become something truly special for the Atlanta Falcons.
