Hall-of-Fame weekend is upon us and with it, the start to the Atlanta Falcons season as the NFL pre-season is finally underway.  Who in Falcons present and past could be celebrating this weekend in their future?

Looking at current and former Atlanta Falcons players there are five clear options who have the talent to make it into the Hall. Though for any of these players to make it their careers will have to go perfectly starting this season.

The NFL Hall-of-Fame is as prestigious an accomplishment as there is in all of sports. It is far easier to get into the NBA or MLB Hall as neither have the high standards of the NFL. While this does result in celebrating more players and their accomplishments it cheapens it to some extent.

There is nothing cheap or easy about getting into the NFL Hall-of-Fame.  You have to establish yourself as a winner and produce numbers that are chart-topping.  If you’re a quarterback you need playoff success and sustained greatness to be even considered.

If you’re a defensive player or a receiver you need iconic moments that fans will remember you for numbers alone aren’t always enough.

With this in mind, this list isn’t a Hall-of-Fame projection rather pointing out the only five current and former Falcons with the ability and talent levels to receive consideration from the Hall.  This list goes from least likely to make the Hall to most starting with a player who has the talent but not the numbers.
