Atlanta Falcons looking westward for targets

Seattle Seahawks:

D.K. Metcalf – WR

Bobby Wagner – LB

There is a case that can be made for Tyler Lockett over D.K. Metcalf, Lockett is more reliable and provides more flexibility. However, D.K. Metcalf is a big receiver, which is something the Falcons could use after Julio Jones leaving.

Let’s be honest, Jamal Adams was never considered here. He is overrated, and a huge liability in coverage. Bobby Wagner in the meantime has been one of the most consistent players in the NFL since he was drafted. He is simply a stud and a first-ballot hall of fame player.

Los Angeles Rams:

Cam Akers – RB

Aaron Donald – DT

The selection of Cam Akers is ignoring his season-ending injury of course, but he was in line for a huge season. As a rookie he was explosive and a ton of fun to watch. Sean McVay has not had a perennial superstar player since Todd Gurley left, but Akers may be next in line.

Aaron Donald over Jalen Ramsey every day.  Ramsey is one of the best corners in the NFL, but Aaron Donald is easily the best defensive tackle in the league. If the Atlanta Falcons had Aaron Donald and Grady Jarrett, they would have the two best defensive tackles in the entire league.

Arizona Cardinals:

DeAndre Hopkins – WR

Chandler Jones – OLB

DeAndre Hopkins is the only choice here. He is a big-bodied receiver and going back to why D.K. Metcalf was selected, it is something the Falcons lack at the position, assuming we consider Kyle Pitts as a true tight end.

Isaiah Simmons might have been the long-term play here, but Chandler Jones is an absolute beast. He has never received enough credit for what he does year in and year out. He could be considered one of the top three pass rushers over the past numerous years.

San Francisco 49ers:

Trent Williams – LT

Nick Bosa – DE

Trent Williams was likely the best tackle in the league last year. Having him and Matthews on the same team would give Matt Ryan protection on the outside that he has never had. George Kittle was of course considered, but having Kyle Pitts dissuaded that.

Nick Bosa or Fred Warner? It may be a coin flip on who you would take. Ultimately the Falcons need a pass rusher more than a linebacker, so Nick Bosa it is. Hopefully, he stays healthy as he can be one of the best in the league.
