The Atlanta Falcons season will open up against the Philadelphia Eagles today as each team tries to start their season undefeated.

As with every team, these two have some parallel situations and huge differences with their squads. Whether that is differing starters at the quarterback position or similar deficiencies in the secondary depth of the two teams.

The overarching theme with these teams is that their potential is unknown. They have talent at certain positions, but for now, they are lacking in areas to firmly predict the playoffs in their near future.

Similarity: Falcons and Eagles open up with new coaches.

Gone are the days of Dan Quinn and Doug Pederson as Atlanta and Philadelphia coaches.

In walk two young offensive minds in Arthur Smith and Nick Sirianni.

It has become a new trend in the NFL to hire young brilliant offensive coaches, and these two teams did just that. Smith was a hot commodity with teams looking for new coaches, while Sirianni was a bit of a surprise.

The unfortunate situation for these two coaches is that one of them has to start their career with a loss. We can only hope that ends up being Sirianni

The two of them will combine for a lot of offense over the coming years and both of them have bright futures ahead.

It will be a battle between the stud play-callers in Mercedes Benz Stadium today.
