Difference: Eagles have some good pass rushers, while the Falcons don’t.

Death, Taxes, and the Atlanta Falcons having no pass rush.

There is reason for optimism this year compared to years prior. Dean Pees has been known for his ability to manufacture pressure, it has been talked about numerous times since he was hired. He has a tall task as the Falcons lack proven players on the defensive line – minus Grady Jarrett and even Dante Fowler Jr.

Meanwhile, for the Eagles, their strength on defense is their ability to affect quarterbacks.

They have lived off of Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox ever since their Super Bowl victory, and even before that. They are a tough group to slow down, especially with the Falcons starting a rookie across from Fletcher.

The Falcons have to live off of blitzing to generate deadly pressure against offenses, the Eagles, on the other hand, have the proven players to consistently get pressure just using four rushers.

Arthur Smith must find a way to keep Philly from teeing off on Matt Ryan, if he does not, it will be a long and tough night for Matt.
