Tight end:

  • TE: Tony Gonzalez

Much like Julio Jones, there is no room for debate here, Tony Gonzalez is the greatest tight end in NFL history so he has to be the choice here.

There has never been a tight end that has had the consistency, reliability, and dominant nature of Tony Gonzalez. He played in 270 games and only missed a single game in his career. To play a position that requires that amount of physical contact but only manage to miss one game in a 17-year career is mind-boggling.

He also happens to hold all the major records for tight ends.

He is top-three in most receptions during a career with 1,325 and number one among tight ends, first in career receiving yards for a tight end, and second in receiving touchdowns for a tight end.

He is unmatched with his consistency and durability. No argument for Tony Gonzalez not being the best tight end of all time.
