Linebackers:

  • LB1: Tommy Nobis
  • LB2: Jessie Tuggle
  • LB3: Deion Jones

Tommy “Mr. Falcon” Nobis was simply special, there really is not much more you can say. He was dominating his competition on some extremely awful teams. He does not get even close to the credit he so much deserves due to him being on bad teams. He should easily be in the Hall of Fame but somehow has not reached it yet.

Jessie “The Hammer” Tuggle is another player that should have easily made the Hall of Fame by now but gets no credit for his toughness at the position. He was one of the hardest-hitting players during his era and fought his way up from being undrafted to the eventual leader of Atlanta’s defenses.

Deion Jones makes it here as the playmaker of this group. He is probably the best playmaking linebacker in NFL history. No one can match his speed at the position. He flies around the field and neutralizes much of the outside running opposing teams try to do.

Debo is also close to breaking an NFL record for most interceptions for touchdowns by a linebacker.
