1. Does Adrian Peterson have anything left in the tank?

The fact Adrian Peterson is still a free agent is surprising. The veteran has put together productive games over the last two years with teams not known for their ability to rush the football. Bringing Peterson to Atlanta would provide the team a variation they currently lack.

Cordarrelle Patterson is Atlanta’s best running back while attempting to provide receiver depth and return kicks. Patterson has been dynamic in the first two games, however, Atlanta cannot put too much on the veteran’s plate.

They need an option to pair with Mike Davis who has been underwhelming through two games this season. Peterson is a solid runner who can still block and would be a nice change of pace player for Atlanta.

While Wayne Gallman remains on the roster it seems Atlanta doesn’t expect contributions from the former Giant this season. Peterson is a no-risk signing for an Atlanta team that badly needs a run game to help protect their offensive line.

Peterson may not have anything left to contribute but sitting at 0-2 with a gadget player as their best rusher could it hurt to find out? There is always the off chance Peterson goes off in a game as he has done each of the last two seasons giving Atlanta’s offense a boost.
