Four Atlanta Falcons games to not look forward to
1) Week 11: New England Patriots
This is going to be a painful week and game for the Atlanta Falcons due to their history with New England.
The last time these two teams played was four years ago – the season proceeding Super Bowl 51 – and the Falcons were blown out 7-23.
It is quite obvious why all the Atlanta Falcons fans will not be happy the days before this game. The “28-3” jokes will be running rampant, people will be looking back on that awful day in February four years ago, the agony will be indescribable.
If one thing is going for the Falcons, it is that they will be playing at home where maybe there will be fewer “28-3” signs visible.
The NFL also could not let this game hide in the early slate of football on Sunday, they had to put this game in primetime so everyone will be talking about it, as it is the first game of week 11.
What else can you say? It will be a week full of mocking the Atlanta Falcons as if everyone has not worn that joke into the ground for more than four years. Maybe one day all these people who think they are funny will get over it, but probably not.
Looking at the game, this is one that Atlanta could win. This is not the dominating – Tom Brady led – Patriots team that everyone watched for more than a decade, it is a new chapter in New England that will be led by Mac Jones.
They do not have the most explosive offense but they do have a smart offensive coordinator in Josh McDaniels who will not overcomplicate a gameplan – he is willing to just run the ball down the throat of the defense all day long.
This will no doubt be an interesting game, as you can see it going in any way possible but hopefully, we will see the Falcons dominate New England, getting a sliver of revenge for all the jokes.
