The Atlanta Falcons lost a heartbreaking game 34-30 failing to beat a Washington team that was on the ropes more than once in Atlanta. Taylor Heinicke made the throws to win this game while Atlanta sat playing not to lose something that never works for this franchise.

Impactful free agents remain on the market and Atlanta could use help at multiple positions. Most noticeably they need help at the skill positions and in the secondary. Atlanta needs another corner and at least one playmaker. They don’t have a starting running back or a quality receiver behind Calvin Ridley.

These are problems Atlanta could easily fix within their limited budget. The fact they haven’t added anyone as of yet likely points to the fact they are unwilling to make a move.

The Atlanta Falcons are not going to get any better unless they add talent

Atlanta’s roster isn’t going to improve this season, they should be looking to sell at the trade deadline. However, Atlanta has a veteran quarterback and a core that with a bit of window dressing would be interesting to watch on Sundays.

This is a team capable of playing with anyone offensively if Atlanta will give Ryan a few more pieces.  Pieces that remain on the market for a team that needs help.
