2. Arthur Smith coaches this team to win unafraid to lose

What many Atlanta fans found so frustrating about Sunday’s loss to Washington wasn’t the loss in itself. It was the way this Atlanta team lost that reminded them of the last regime where losses often looked just like the one to Washington.

Smith is going to be facing a lot of pressure and his seat could become increasingly warm considering this regime presented Atlanta as a team that could win now. Sunday’s loss was a game much like Dan Quinn’s Falcons would have played they jumped out to the early lead and then begin to play not to lose.

They lost their edge and let Washington come back and beat them late in ugly fashion. Another performance of this nature and Atlanta fans will begin to question Smith and call for a complete rebuild in Atlanta.

Arthur Smith is afforded one bad game, now in London, the rookie coach needs to remind fans he isn’t Dan Quinn. Smith needs to use his offensive prowess and beat an inferior Jets roster. If he can’t who will the Falcons beat the rest of the season?

Atlanta needs a new Arthur Smith on Sunday one unafraid to lose and focused on winning when the money is on the table.
