3 ways the Atlanta Falcons can beat the New York Jets
By Nick Halden
3. Kyle Pitts and Calvin Ridley wake up in London
Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts have both struggled this season seeming afraid to go up and make plays. This makes Matt Ryan’s early performances all the more impressive, Ryan has put together a win and an impressive comeback attempt without receivers supporting him consistently.
Calvin Ridley has struggled to make the impressive catch Atlanta fans have grown accustomed to watching him haul in. It is almost as if he has lost his nerve, he seems content to catch slants and check-downs getting down and taking care of his body.
For an undersized receiver like Ridley, this isn’t an option, Atlanta needs Ridley to make the contested catches and be the number one option in Atlanta. He is capable and must take a step forward against the Jets.
Much like Ridley Kyle Pitts has been off to a slow start and must get on track. Atlanta needs the rookie badly. If he and Ridley continue to fail to make plays who on this roster is going to help Ryan move the ball?
Ridley and Pitts are far too talented to both continue to struggle. Atlanta needs at least one of them to step up on Sunday, if they do Atlanta wins this game.
