Pittsburgh Steelers

If Atlanta Falcons fans think that the team is holding onto Matt Ryan too long because of sentimental reasons, then look at the Pittsburgh Steelers and you will see a much worse storyline.

The Steelers played great for most of the season last year before they collapsed and lost in the playoffs against their rivals. They are 2-8 since they were 11-0 to start the 2020 season, much of that lies on the shoulders of their quarterback.

Ben Roethlisberger has been a tremendous quarterback during his NFL career, but he is no longer the same player that he was. There is no argument that Matt Ryan is not a clear-cut upgrade over Big Ben.

Ben has consistently caused turnover-worthy plays during the first four weeks of the season, most of them are awful decisions by him and inexcusable. Matt Ryan may have numerous turnovers on the year, but most of them have come from balls being tipped in unfortunate ways.

Pittsburgh has also always been known for having stellar defenses, and they certainly have the players to dominate on that side of the ball. While they have given up more than 20 points in all but one game this season, they still have T.J. Watt who can end any game in the blink of an eye.

Matt Ryan could get a Super Bowl in Pittsburgh, he would provide much better and more consistent play than Big Ben is giving them right now, and that would produce better results in the final box score.
