3 Crazy predictions for the Atlanta Falcons in week five
By Nick Halden
Watching the Atlanta Falcons this season has been painfully familiar so far. The team lacks situational awareness and continues to be their own worst enemy, the huge coaching staff changes seem to have changed little for a miserable Atlanta team.
A team that continues to have a cloud hanging over them, one that has been there since their Super Bowl debacle in 2016. Leaving many to wonder if this team can find success again with the same core? The defense has already been torn down and Julio Jones has been traded away.
Matt Ryan is the most notable member of the Super Bowl roster remaining and yet again facing pressure this season. Sunday’s game against the Jets is a matchup that the Falcons should win. One in which Ryan will be facing a lot of pressure now that he is without his top two receivers.
The Atlanta Falcons need Matt Ryan to lead his team in week five
Can Ryan find a way to win a game against a rookie quarterback and a lot of unfamiliar targets? It is pressure Ryan is growing accustomed to. It is a pressure he needs to live up to in week five, if not, it may be time to completely tear down this roster. A win signals a slight bit of hope that this group can turn it around and creep back into the wildcard race.
With this in mind, here are three crazy predictions for Sunday’s game. One with a lot of implications as we grow closer to the trading deadline.
