3. The Atlanta Falcons defense holds the Jets under twenty

The Atlanta Falcons defense has put together one solid performance against Daniel Jones, otherwise opposing quarterbacks have looked like MVPs in their matchups against Atlanta. This week that trend will come to an end against the Jets.

The defense is laughably bad, luckily so are the New York Jets who lucked their way into beating the Titans last week.

Atlanta is too desperate and frustrated to overlook the struggling Zach Wilson. This is a rare occasion the Atlanta defense is going to dominate and make life very hard for the rookie quarterback.

Turnovers and long check-down-filled drives from Matt Ryan are going to keep the Jets offense off the field and allow the Atlanta defense to improve as they head into the off-week.   In a matchup of terrible Atlanta is going to win and give their defense a performance to build on as they continue to rebuild amidst the season.

For Ryan, he shouldn’t have to do nearly as much as he did against Washington. A middling offensive performance should be enough to win this game and bring some hope back that this team is heading in the right direction.
