It is early in the season, but the Falcons still have some hope going down the stretch.

This season has not gone how Arthur Smith and the Atlanta Falcons wanted it to, but it is a different story when comparing that to realistic expectations. This is not a good team, at least yet, but that does not mean they do not have a chance down the stretch.

Atlanta will be entering the earliest bye week of the season in week six of the 2021 NFL season. Surprisingly it seems as though it is a perfect time for it as the team needs to get back into routine coming home from London, while also getting their injured players healthy.

Outside of Isaiah Oliver, the Falcons have been able to avoid any long-term injuries to key players, and for them to have a chance the rest of the way, that must continue.

While it will not be easy, there is a path for this team to reach double-digit wins, and with the extra playoff team implemented last season, this increases their chances of being one of the seven teams in the postseason for the NFC.

While each team has only completed five games on the season, Atlanta only has one less win than the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers who hold the last two spots in the playoff picture. Again, it is really early, but so far it seems like only a few teams in the NFL have really established themselves as top teams, and that works in the Falcons favor.

So what are the keys for the Atlanta Falcons to reach at least ten wins and possibly make the postseason?
