Atlanta Falcons must beat the teams that they are favored to beat

This is one of the biggest cliches out there, but it is also one that the Falcons have struggled with during the past few years.

There are numerous games down the stretch that Atlanta could or should be favored in. They certainly do not have one of the toughest schedules out there.

Games against the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars they will no doubt be favored to win, while also having games against the Dolphins, Saints twice, Patriots, 49ers, and possibly the Panthers who they could be favored against.

The games against the Lions and Jaguars are two games that this team has no excuses to not beat. They are arguably the two worst teams in the league and teams that the Falcons simply better.

The Dolphins have also been pretty awful this season. They may be getting Tua Tagovailoa back before they play Atlanta, so that weighs in their favor but Atlanta should beat them. They have not been the same team as they were last year.

The Patriots have held tough with good teams, while also being blown out early by Davis Mills and the Texans before making a late-game comeback to win. Atlanta needs to beat them, for more reasons than just getting a win.

The 49ers may have a dynamic rookie quarterback or Jimmy Garoppolo starting for them, but either way, they have not won since week two. This is one of those games that could go either way, and it will have a huge effect on the season for Atlanta as it is later in the season and could be a huge win or a brutal loss for them.
