The Falcons must take full advantage of turnover opportunities on both sides of the ball

Look at the quarterbacks that the Falcons will play during the rest of the season, the majority of them have issues with putting the ball in danger.

Among the quarterbacks that Atlanta plays that currently have or have had a history of turning the ball over include Jameis Winston twice, Sam Darnold twice, Mac Jones, and Jared Goff.

That is six games where the defense should have a good chance to force multiple turnovers.

They also will likely play Tua Tagovailoa and possibly Trey Lance who are two young quarterbacks that you can take advantage of if you are the opposing defense.

The issue with all of this? The Falcons have struggled with taking advantage of prime opportunities, mainly during the game against Washington.

Erik Harris had two passes that went straight through his hands that could have changed the results of that game if he even catches one of them. Add to the fact that Duron Harmon dropped one of the easiest interceptions possible in the endzone in the same game and this is why it is a huge key.

They cannot afford to drop anymore, let alone multiple in one game.

They have two games against Sam Darnold and the Carolina Panthers. Darnold has thrown five interceptions in the past two games, six on the year, and two fumbles.

This is a trend he has had throughout his career, so you figure that it could continue which would give the Falcons a great opportunity to beat their division rival.

Not to mention, they will also play Jameis Winston who everyone knows has been the king of turning the ball over since he entered the league. While he has only thrown three picks and fumbled once thus far, it should not be too long before those numbers spike.

The key is not only to get the turnovers, but for the offense to turn them in for scores. They cannot afford to not score when they are given prime opportunities by the defense. If they can play as a team, then this team could improve quickly.
