Position the Atlanta Falcons should target with each of their draft picks

There is no denying that the Atlanta Falcons have a lot of work to do during the next offseason, they have proven that they do not have enough depth at many positions.

The Falcons have been struggling all across the defense, at wide receiver, and on the offensive line. The defense has been bad overall outside of A.J. Terrell, Grady Jarrett, and Dante Fowler Jr. And the offensive line has been horrible outside of Chris Lindstrom and Jake Matthews most of the time.

That is already numerous positions that have been lacking. They need another safety, a couple corners, more defensive lineman, a right tackle, and depth at wide receiver. It is a lot to try to fix in one offseason, but it must be done.

Not to mention, the team needs guys like Deion Jones, Foye Oluokun, and Russell Gage to get back to their normal potential, while also having young players across the board improve dramatically.

Most of the future comes in the draft, Terry Fontenot needs to use that as the base for the team. He is building for next year and years down the line.

It is another story on if he can continue to draft the best available player like he did in the 2020 NFL draft.

Atlanta will have eight draft picks, one in each round with two in the second round. The other second-round pick comes from the Julio Jones trade. They could potentially be awarded more picks via compensatory picks, but that will not be announced until weeks before the draft.
