Falcons safety, Jaylinn Hawkins, deserves to move forward in a starting role

It was said before the season even started, Atlanta Falcons fans needed to watch out for Jaylinn Hawkins, and it sure has come true.

There is no argument around it, Jaylinn Hawkins should be the starting safety for the Falcons moving forward, he has outplayed everyone at his position.

Not only has he outplayed everyone, but he has proven to be the only one who can catch a pass as he has an interception in two straight games, coming right after the duo of Erik Harris and Duron Harmon dropped four interceptions against Washington.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jaylinn Hawkins is graded out as the second-best safety in the entire NFL with a 79.2 overall grade. The second highest-graded safety in the league should not be coming off the bench to play.

He has not played as many snaps as most, but he still has performed to a level that no other safety in Atlanta has.

He could seriously be a star in the making, if he is, it will be huge for the defense in the coming years. It would be one less position they have to worry about fixing, hopefully, his elite play will continue.
