8. If Atlanta wants to play positionless football Tyler Eifert is an interesting option as a pass-catcher

If there is one thing we know about Arthur Smith it is the fact he has embraced his skill players lining up in a myriad of roles. Tyler Eifert is a tight-end by trade but is perhaps the best pass catcher still on the market.

Tyler had good seasons with the Bengals and was productive just last season with the Jaguars. He would fit well with Lee Smith, Hayden Hurst, and Kyle Pitts. It would give Atlanta four huge red-zone targets and give Smith another player he can line up on the line or send outside.

Eifert has caught 26-touchdown passes in his career with 2,501-receiving yards. Not bad for a role player and someone who is going to get another chance to win a job in this league.

Tyler is an interesting option if Atlanta wants to go outside the box and avoid the unproven or older receivers left on the market. With Hurst who has a similar skill set, however, it is a long shot Atlanta goes this route but with Smith’s propensity to ignore position labels it is at least a possibility Atlanta considers the move.
