The Atlanta Falcons are headed into Sunday as heavy underdogs against the New Orleans Saints. Despite this fact, Atlanta should feel optimistic considering they will be facing a backup quarterback regardless of who the Saints choose to start.

Jameis Winston is out and the Saints are going to be forced to turn to either Taysom Hill or Trevor Siemian. Neither quarterback is exactly daunting considering Trevor’s failed run with the Broncos and the fact Hill is more of a utility player than a quarterback.

Meaning at the most important position on the field on Sunday Atlanta is going to have a big advantage. One they cannot afford to fail to capitalize on as they did against Sam Darnold and the Panthers last Sunday.

The Atlanta Falcons yet again have a huge advantage at the quarterback position, can Matt Ryan take advantage of the mismatch?

Last week Matt Ryan didn’t get it done against the Panthers, he played poorly in what was a very winnable game.

This week that cannot be the case for a team in desperate need of a win. New Orleans is re-shuffling its game plan with their starting quarterback out and Atlanta must find a way to take advantage.

Losing to a team led by Trevor or Hill would be the final nail in the Atlanta season it isn’t an option. Matt Ryan isn’t going to let that happen in a bounce-back performance, he is going to will the Falcons to an upset win over a team that is dealing with the loss of their quarterback and coming off of a huge win over Tom Brady’s Bucs.

The Falcons are the perfect letdown game for a team that just pulled a huge upset of their own. Atlanta is going to catch New Orleans off guard and pull their record back to .500 giving their season just a bit of life.
