There has been a lot of debate between Atlanta Falcons fans on if the team made a mistake by not taking a quarterback in the 2021 NFL draft, if Matt Ryan is the future, or if they should take a quarterback with their first-round pick in the upcoming draft.

Turns out Terry Fontenot and his staff could actually have some major interest in a couple talented college passers

The Atlanta Falcons are in attendance for the Liberty, Ole Miss game on Saturday

If you are strictly an Atlanta Falcons fan, you could be confused at how there are two big-time quarterbacks from this single game. Obviously, you could expect to see one out of Ole Miss, but Liberty is another story.

However, Liberty does have one of the most talented and hottest quarterback prospects in the entire nation, his name? Malik Willis, he is a big-time player for his team. One that will almost undoubtedly go in the first round.

On the other side is the quarterback for the Ole Miss Rebels, Matt Corral.

The Atlanta Falcons are among many teams that are in attendance to watch these two guys throw the ball all over the field.

That is certainly a lot of teams that are attending the game, and there are numerous prospects that are not quarterbacks that are being evaluated, but it is almost guaranteed that the Falcons are looking squarely at the two passers.

At the very least this shows that they are taking a look at every direction they could go with the future of the team, even if that means replacing Matt Ryan.

It would be irresponsible of them to not look at Corral and Willis, if they feel like they are going to be the best in the league in a couple years, then they need to pursue them aggressively. It is a potential franchise turning decision that could set you up for the next decade or longer.

So, Terry Fontenot and his scouting department are doing their due diligence, as they should.

Next. Atlanta Falcons will play an unfamiliar face. dark
