3 Reasons the Atlanta Falcons should claim Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr. is set to hit waivers tomorrow afternoon a fact the Atlanta Falcons are well aware of.  Beckham has made it clear he wants to join a contender and sitting currently in the playoff picture technically the Atlanta Falcons fit this description.

Not only are they in the playoff picture after beating the New Orleans Saints but they are without a clear number one receiver. Odell would get the targets he wants right away in this Atlanta offense considering Ridley is out for an unknown amount of time.

For Atlanta, claiming Odell should be a consideration for a team that badly needs help at the position. Despite great performances from Russell Gage and Olamide Zaccheaus this week Atlanta doesn’t have a receiver they can count on.

The Atlanta Falcons need a receiver that is going to show up every week and not disappear in an offense that needs playmakers

Atlanta currently lacks an active receiver on their roster who is going to show up every week and make plays.  Calvin Ridley was that guy but needs to step away from football for an unknown amount of time.

Ridley may or may not return this season, what is most important is the health and life of the young receiver outside of football. From a game perspective, however, Atlanta must address his absence and there is no better way to do just that than adding Odell.  Here are three more reasons Atlanta must claim Odell on Tuesday.
