Over the last two seasons, a lot of noise has seemingly surrounded the Atlanta Falcons and their quarterback Matt Ryan.  Whether Atlanta should or shouldn’t draft a quarterback has been an ongoing topic of debate over the last two years.

Ryan continues to quietly be great while the league and the fanbase debate whether or not Ryan should continue to be the Falcons quarterback.

Ryan isn’t Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, or Aaron Rodgers but he is as close as Atlanta is going to find.  It is also worth noting here that Ryan has gone toe-to-toe with Rodgers in the playoffs and beaten his team soundly.

The Atlanta Falcons lack a top-five quarterback but finding another Matt Ryan is impossible for a team that has long struggled to find a quarterback

The gap between Matt Ryan and the top quarterbacks in the league is much closer than the gap between Ryan and the middle tier of quarterbacks in the league. Moving on from Matt Ryan is a tough call that Atlanta shouldn’t make lightly whenever they do choose to move on from the veteran.

It remains an option as well that Ryan spends the rest of his career in Atlanta retiring on his own terms. A rare occurrence that is still on the table for the greatest quarterback in Atlanta Falcons’ history.

Atlanta still however has an obligation to their fanbase to weigh all of their options and not stick with Ryan simply because of his history with the team. While there is an argument to be had for taking a quarterback in the upcoming draft there is a myriad of reasons Atlanta should continue to stick with Ryan. Here are the three most obvious reasons Atlanta cannot trade or move on from Matt Ryan just yet.
