The Atlanta Falcons will face the Dallas Cowboys as they attempt to hold on to the final wildcard spot in the NFC. Matt Ryan and the Falcons are coming off of a big win over their hated rival the New Orleans Saints while the Cowboys are coming off a game that saw them get dismantled by the Denver Broncos.

This is a game that has a lot on the line for two teams with very different expectations. The Cowboys want to keep pace in the NFC and give themselves a chance at getting the top seed. While the Falcons are simply trying to hold on to the final wildcard spot.

Atlanta’s win was huge but often missed in it is the fact that the Falcons allowed a huge lead to slip away yet again. It was at the hands of the third-string Saints quarterback who brought his team all the way back and would have won if not for some magic from Matt Ryan and Cordarrelle Patterson.

The Atlanta Falcons have four wins against bad quarterbacks can they beat Dak Prescott and the Cowboys?

What is curious about Atlanta is how differently their season could have gone. Tampa Bay and Tom Brady beat the Falcons soundly as did the Eagles. Aside from these two games, Atlanta had a chance to win every game they have played. This is a team that could easily be 6-2 if games against Carolina and Washington went a bit differently.

This week is Atlanta’s chance for a statement win, one that shows their fanbase that they have a chance at a wildcard spot and putting a stop to the painful collapses fans are used to. For that to happen these five Dallas Cowboys must be slowed down in week ten.
